PREPARE has been proven effective for increasing relationship satisfaction and has been used by over 2 million couples since 1980. It begins with you and your partner each taking an online assessment which will identify your strengths and potential areas for growth as a couple. Then we will meet in person for 4 to 6 feedback sessions. During these sessions, we will use the the information from the assessment to work through areas of conflict. In addition, we will complete several exercises designed to improve communication and conflict resolution skills, explore the influence of your families of origin and develop family and financial goals.
The PREPARE Program is comprehensive and includes assessment in 20 categories including:
- Personality (Assertiveness, Self-Confidence, Avoidance)
- Expectations (Financial, Sexual Relations, Parenting)
- Communication (Conflict Resolution, Closeness, Roles)
- Social (Family of Origin, Friends, Spiritual Beliefs)
In addition, there are two unique versions that address couples that are already cohabitating and those that already have children.
The program includes the online assessment and scoring, a Building a Strong Marriage Workbook and face to face sessions in my office. I offer evening and Saturday appointments, as well as, extended
